Leadership

Roger A. Lyons is the founder and lead manager for PLHS.

Mr. Lyons is responsible for the strategic direction of PLHS and is an industry veteran, having started his career in the manufacturing housing industry in 1962.  Lyons’ started his own modular housing company in 1981 and ran his company, Penn Lyon Homes, for 29 years.  His company was an industry leader in modular housing in the United States and was recognized several times for outstanding achievements.  PLHS was formed in 2007 when groups outside of the United States learned of Lyons and his unique ability to coach and guide them in an industry they knew little about.  Lyons then began assisting groups in Canada, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia with modular factory design, setup, and operations.  Mr. Lyons has always been a strong advocate for modular housing in the United States and has served as Chairman of the National Modular Housing Council, President of the Modular Council at the National Association of Home Builders, Chairman of the Building Systems Council, and received the prestigious S.A. Walters Award.  This is awarded each year to the person that has most highly contributed to the modular housing industry.
